    Survival Framework

    Manticore Games Inc.

    This framework is a collection of pre-configured scripts, templates, and art that lets you create a fully working survival game fitted with features that you'd find in today's survival genre.

     

    I was challenged to adapt and extend an inventory system codebase for a game jam that was hosted by Manticore, to support great features such as lootable stashes, backpacks for storing items, consumable items like food, a Hotbar for quickly switching weapons and equipment, and more. The inventory system had to be expandable by other programmers who wanted to leverage the codebase. Various games and addons were created from this system by the community.

  • Derby Wars

    Earn powerful vehicles, weapons, and skins to become the mightiest race car warrior around!

    Collect rare skins by opening skin crates and trading them with other players. Are you up to obtaining the rarest skin and vehicle in the game?

     

    As the only programming contractor, I worked with the client to produce Derby Wars which took about 7 months to develop. I programmed all of the mechanics which include the vehicles, weapons, inventory system, loot crates, shops, trading system, leaderboards, a full tutorial, all the UI functionality, and more. The game is available to play. With currently 900k total visits!

     

    Unfortunately, since this is private I can't share the source code to this game, but check out the video on the right for a quick demo of the game.

  • Mal-Wars Tower Defense

    Defend your network from an ever-increasingly onslaught of malicious programs in this exciting tower-defense game.

     

    While working with Manticore on a tower defense framework I had the opportunity to provide my peer's early access to the framework, this allowed them to accelerate the production of their game by taking care of critical components such as tower logic, placement, upgrading, selling, targeting priority, enemy pathing, spawning, and tower inventory. All scripts with the prefix "TowerDefenders" are scripts of my own work.

    Arcane Shipping

     

    University of Silicon Valley

    Created in Game Design 2 at the University of silicon valley with some peers. Arcane shipping is a game where you take packages from quirky customers and imbue them with magic properties and then ship them into the corresponding Shute.

     

    The entire game was coded in C++ and features package generation, object pickup physics, character facial expressions, customer queue on a spline, and a scoring system.

    Galactic Card Quest

    Ludum Dare 49

    A game inspired by the hit card game Slay The Spire. Created this awesome game with some close colleagues on Team Meta at Manticore Games. Strategically navigate this unstable universe, while building your deck. Fight in multiple otherworldly environments against a relentless enemy. This is our submission for Ludum Dare 49, a 72-hour game jam!

     

    I worked on the card handling mechanics, reward screen, feedback mechanisms when attacking enemies, card inventories, and all feedback with card usage.

    Working as a game engineer with the start-up Manticore Games to produce high-quality multiplayer and open-source systems and frameworks that the community can use on the Core platform. Released community content that is used by many of the top games. Worked with teams to produce content for private and open-source projects and helped various creators on the platform optimize their multiplayer and gameplay experiences.

    Worked and released an ambitious multiplayer game called Derby Wars on the Roblox platform as a gameplay engineer, I was responsible for creating every system and mechanic in the game, and the game has garnered over 900k total plays and has famous YouTubers playing on it.
